About Our Delivery Service

Westmeat partners with Christchurch based Courier Solutions to provide a highly efficient and cost effective nationwide delivery service. The majority of our products are shipped fresh (un-frozen) although some, such as our Angel Bay range, are frozen (look for the chilled or frozen icon on the product pages). We take particular care to ensure your order arrives in perfect condition. All chilled product is vacuum packed to seal in the freshness and protect the product, your order is then carefully packed, along with an ice-pack to keep it chilled in transit, in a polystyrene chilly-bin. The chilly-bin is then taped closed and clearly labelled and addressed. The cost of both handling, packaging and courier are all included in the shipping fee.

The cost of the shipping fee is determined by the weight of the order and the location it is being sent to. The cost of shipping is added to the cost of your order at the check-out.

Westmeat Christchurch Pick Up

Yes, this option is now available for our Christchurch customers!  Simply place and pay for your order before 9am Monday to Friday and your goods will be available for pick up from four o’clock that afternoon.  

Simply enter PICKUP (code is case sensitive) in the checkout when making your order and your shipping and packaging costs will be voided.  Later that day, pop into the Westmeat store at 394 Blenheim Road, speak with the helpful Westmeat team members and you can take your goodies home for tea.

Delivery Days

Westmeat Online can deliver to the Christchurch metro area Tuesday to Saturday. Orders must be in by 7:00am. A fee of $5.00 per order applies to all Saturday deliveries.

Deliveries to all other locations New Zealand wide are available from Tuesday to Saturday. We are unable to guarantee Saturday delivery to some rural locations – see the notes below regarding Saturday Delivery and Rural Delivery.

Delivery Times

Westmeat Online delivers throughout New Zealand, but unfortunately cannot guarantee a specific delivery time due to the logistical characteristics of some locations. Christchurch metro deliveries are usually made before lunch the next day, and all endeavours are undertaken to consistently make all other deliveries through out New Zealand by the following morning.

Signing For Your Delivery

Due to the perishable nature of our product, you are required to sign for your order when it arrives. If you are unable to be at home to sign for the delivery please let us know so that we can arrange delivery to your work or an alternative address.

If you are unable to sign for your delivery (and as a last resort) you can provide us with instructions in the notes box when you place your order of a safe place on your property for the courier to leave the parcel. Please bear in mind we cannot accept liability for any product where you instruct us to leave the parcel without signing for it. Product that has not been signed for is excluded from our 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Saturday Delivery

Westmeat Online offers a Saturday delivery service to an extensive number of locations throughout New Zealand. There is an additional fee of $5.00 per order for Saturday delivery and orders must be in no later than 7:00am on Friday morning in order to be delivered on Saturday. If you are unsure as to whether you can receive deliveries on a Saturday in your location you can ask us to confirm this in the notes box when you place your order.

Rural Deliveries

Deliveries to remote rural addresses (R.D No.'s) are unable to be guaranteed for a next day delivery which is important when dealing with perishable product.  Therefore, the Westmeat Online team have decided to remove this.  An alternate option is to have your parcel delivered to the local drop off point or depot for you to pick up.  Please email us ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Tracking Your Delivery

All deliveries will have a unique ticket number which will be emailed to you as soon as the item is dispatched. If you wish to check on the progress of your delivery you can do this very simply by either:

  1. Calling Courier Solutions on 0800 771 747, or
  2. Visiting this website www.posthaste.co.nz , click on 'Track and Trace' on the home page and enter your ticket number.
